Last week I blogged about the importance of blogging (see Blogging Isn't Really Important, or Is It?). During our regular staff meeting yesterday, Kyle Krull, our company president, asked about his own blogging efforts.
"I blog every day, just like you tell me to, but I sometimes wonder if anyone ever reads it. I just keep doing it, like brushing my teeth, because I know I have to. I know that it boosts my rank on Google, but other than that, what good is it doing?" he asked.
I reminded him that blogging generates website traffic. In fact, among our Essential Attorneys™, blogs generate approximately 60 percent of all website traffic, either directly or indirectly.
"But, isn't there some way I can PUSH my blogs out to people, rather than just wait to be found?" he asked.
Kyle interrupted. "I do a blog digest. Every Saturday I cut-and-paste and digest the previous week's posts into a sixth blog post for Saturday mornings."
I groaned, realizing that even our company president has difficulty keeping up with all of the services we offer to make your marketing job easier and more effective!
"Oh Kyle, you don't have to do that!" I said. "We have a terrific digest service that automatically pulls your blog posts into an e-newsletter format and emails (or PUSHES) it out to your subscriber list."
Needless to say, we got Kyle signed up. His first weekly digest email went out to his list at 10:02 this morning. At 10:54, he sent me this email:
"just scheduled an apptmt triggered by the “weekly blog digest” sent today."
Of course, your mileage may vary, but there's no doubt that blogging boosts marketing performance!
You can see Kyle's Blog Digest email online here. Essential Attorneys can find out more about the Essential Blog Digest service by shooting an email over to James: email@example.com or give him a call at 1-877-352-2021.
