I’m a stereotypical ‘planner’. Parties, trips, grocery lists, you name it – I make a list for everything! I’ve got a medley of “productivity” apps on my phone, tablet, and PC. Give me a list and a calendar, and I could probably plan out anything! One thing I’m not? Overwhelmed! Planning and organization gives me a sense of peace and tranquility.
You should be applying this same mindset to your social media marketing. Below is a quick “Calendar List” of what your week could look like in the sense of social media. Your blog posts should be posting automatically to your wall. Those do not count as social media activity, as they are done by a robot. You should post at least one other status a day.
Monday – Get the week started by sharing an inspirational message. Mondays can be a killer – and readers want something that can help them though.
Tuesday – Ok, time to get to work – why don’t you get your readers a little update on what is going on this week with the law firm?
Wednesday – Ooo! Mid-week, let’s celebrate Hump Day with a stellar video. Make sure you write a personalized message in the text bar of the share box…This way you don’t look like a robot.
Thursday – Does anything exciting ever happen on Thursday? No…but you can remind them that you DO host very exciting workshops other times during the week.
Friday – hit the end of the week off with a bang, share something fun and engaging.
Doesn’t that seem pretty simple when it’s all written out like that? That intimidating feeling just sort of floats away…
Manage your daily activity with a schedule like this – and social media will feel like a breeze!
